at Zicklin School of Business, Bernard M. Baruch College, City University of New York, visited our college.
Professor Li Shanmin, Dean of Lingnan College, met with Professor Onochie. He expressed that Lingnan College has rich experience in collaboration with American universities and hoped that Professor Onochie's visit would foster a successful and mutually beneficial sustainable cooperation between the two institutions.
During the visit, Professor Lu Xiaodong, Associate Dean of Lingnan College, Professor Liu Jianhua, Assistant Dean, Assistant Professor Zhu Xiaoyu from the Finance Department had in-depth discussions with Professor Onochie on the potential cooperation regarding the Financial Management Ph.D. program, dual-degree programs for professional masters, and overseas study programs.
Professor Onochie mentioned that as one of the top colleges in the City University of New York, Bernard M. Baruch College is strategically located in the heart of Manhattan, with an extensive and core network of alumni in New York's financial institutions, especially on Wall Street. Currently, Zicklin School of Business has over 13,000 alumni actively involved in various institutions and financial companies in New York, such as the New York Stock Exchange, the NBER (New York) Research Center, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (New York), Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, BlackRock Group, Blackstone Group, Dow Jones & Company, Citigroup, Morgan Stanley, UBS, and more, serving in executive positions. Dr. Onochie expressed that in future collaborations, Lingnan students would have the opportunity to visit these financial institutions and interact with industry elites.

Professor Lu Xiaodong, Associate Dean of Lingnan College, expressed gratitude for Professor Onochie's visit, emphasizing the college's commitment to further expand international cooperation with renowned North American universities, providing valuable overseas learning opportunities for students.
Professor Liu Jianhua, Assistant Dean and Director of the Professional Master's Education Center at Lingnan College, highlighted that Lingnan College's Master's program in Finance brings together outstanding faculty from academia and the industry, offering students a comprehensive curriculum in finance, economics, and management. It is one of the best-equipped and resource-rich financial programs in the Greater Bay Area. He expressed hopes for integration of resources with Bernard M. Baruch College to cultivate more and better financial professionals.
Assistant Professor Zhu Xiaoyu expressed his desire to assist the college in advancing cooperation through his alumni status at Bernard M. Baruch College.
