Two days before the study tour, the students stayed at Alliance Manchester Business School, taking a series of courses such as British Government and Public Policies, City Construction, and The Prospect of Economic Globalization. Through the lectures, students can more deeply and precisely comprehend the British and global economies. Staff and faculties even arranged a welcome party for our students, giving them a chance to interact with local students. In their spare time, they took a visit to the local science and industrial museum, getting to know more about the development of the textile, energy, communication, and airline industries in Manchester.

Later on, they began their colorful tour in Cambridge, where the eminent Chinese poet Xu Zhimo wrote, with scintillating wit, Saying Good-bye to Cambridge Again. In Cambridge, they visited various attractions such as Trinity College, The River Cam, King’s College and so on. Exquisite Gothic architecture, solemn cathedrals, as well as courtyards crawling with green ivy exemplify the city’s deep historical power; each climb of the Grasshopper Clock near Corpus Christi College, is a reminder of how time flies.

The historic buildings and sculptures in Oxford University tell the vivid story of its history. You can inhale the full-bodied British culture easily. The students visited the Ashmolean Museum, one of the oldest museums in the world. They indulged themselves in the museum’s abundant collections, and had opportunities to visit Blackwell's Bookshop, where one can feel the strong academic atmosphere of Oxford University.

Before leaving London, the students visited the British Museum, Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey and Trafalgar Square.
