Faculty Overview

Lingnan College is defined by its commitment to academic excellence in both teaching and research. Since its founding, the College has built a distinguished faculty team. As of 2026, Lingnan College is home to 83 full-time faculty members recruited from top institutions both domestically and internationally, including The University of Hong Kong, Peking University, Fudan University, National University of Singapore, Cornell University, The University of Tokyo, London Business School, University of Amsterdam, University of California, Bocconi University, University of Rochester and others.

To strengthen its academic capacity, the College also actively recruits distinguished Adjunct Professors around the world. Notably, Professor Myron Samuel Scholes, Nobel Laureate in Economics, was appointed by Lingnan College as the first Honorary Professor of Sun Yat-sen University.

The College attaches great importance to faculty development. It holds regular programs to support academic visiting abroad and conference presentations. Furthermore, the College also invites a number of prestigious visiting scholars from leading international universities, as well as foreign government officials and business leaders to conduct seminars and lectures at Lingnan.
