International Fair 2016 Fall

On October 29, the Lingnan College Embassy held the 2016 International Fair on Zhuhai Campus of Sun Yat-Sen University. 18 staff and 23 exchange students participated in the event, along with students who took part in the morning workshop.

During the workshop, nearly one hundred students from different colleges and grades talked with the exchange students, discussing their schools, their countries, and their life in both China and their hometowns. This provided the students with an opportunity for cross-cultural communication as they got to know each other and their experiences. The exchange students brought beverages and deserts, which attracted many students to the event and added to the festiveness of the workshop. According to the students who took part in the workshop, the exchange students were humorous, warm-hearted and approachable.

After lunch, the campus tour began. 15 tour guides showed the exchange students around and talked about what their life was like living on Zhuhai campus. The tour guides also showed the exchange students the teaching building, which is the longest teaching building in Asia, a fact that impressed many of the exchange students. They also visited the track field, sports stadium, and library. On the way to the library, the tour took an extraordinary path across the mountain. It was a large stairway leading directly to the library. Though many of the students found it to be a tiring climb, it was an unforgettable memory for many of them. Finally, on the other side, students saw the library, which was designed to look like an opening book.

Happy time flies. It was time for the exchange students to start the trip back to the South campus. After the group took photos, all the staff and tour guides saw the exchange students off. Everyone had a sweet memory that day.
