Academic Group of Political Economics

The Academic Group of Political Economics (or Academic Group of Socialist Political Economics with Chinese Characteristics) was established in 2021. There are 3 faculty members, including 1 professors, 1 associate professor and 1 senior lecturer. Focusing on the research of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialist Economy with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the academic group undertakes the "1" in the "1+N" Development Direction of the college's 14th Five-Year Plan for Discipline Development, that is, "Study on Theoretical Innovation of Economy with Chinese Characteristics".

The academic group mainly undertakes the teaching of undergraduates' major compulsory courses such as Political Economics and Thought on Socialist Economy with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, as well as postgraduate courses such as History of Economic Theories, Special Research Topics on Thought on Socialist Economy with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and Environmental Economics.

By holding the Seminar on Xi Jinping Thought on Socialist Economy with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the academic group gathers the intellectual strength of first-class experts and scholars in China to jointly publicize and expound the latest achievements in adapting Marxism to the Chinese context and the needs of our times, so that Xi Jinping Thought on Socialist Economy with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era can be transformed into a great force to promote the high-quality development of China's economy and the modernization of the national system and capacity of economic governance.
