Abstract:
Drawing on his research published in the Economic Journal—"Air Pollution and Manufacturing Firm Productivity: National Estimates for China"—Professor Zhang Peng will share practical insights into the international academic publication process. The talk will address key aspects such as efficient reading of frontier literature, research topic development, paper writing and submission, and responding to reviewer comments.
Profile:

Zhang Peng is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at The Chinese University of Hong Kong-Shenzhen. He received his Ph.D. and M.A. in Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and holds a B.A. in Economics and Law from Shandong University. His research focuses on environmental economics, development economics, and health economics. His work has been published in leading international journals, including the Economic Journal, Journal of Public Economics, Journal of Development Economics, and Journal of Environmental Economics and Management. He currently serves as Associate Editor for the Journal of Development Economicsand the China Economic Review.
