Lingnan Mesoeconomics Teacher Training Workshop taught by the former Vice-Governor of Guangdong Province, Prof. CHEN Yunxian

On 23rd of August, Lingnan (University) College held the first Mesoeconomics Teacher Training Workshop. Over 40 professors and researchers from over nine nationwide first-class universities like Peking and Tsinghua, participated in the workshop.The Vice President of Sun Yat-sen University indicated that Mesoeconomics, which is founded by Prof. CHEN Yunxian is the recently developed discipline. The purpose of this workshop is to provide an opportunity for teachers to understand Mesoeconomics and train them with relevant theories while promoting this discipline.

 

Professor CHEN Yunxian is very much experienced in all academic, business, and political fields. He witnessed the great success of China’s reform and opening-up over the past four decades. Professor’s reflection on the practical problems of Chinese economic development and his Mesoeconomics offer a new perspective on telling China’s story well.

 

The workshop lasted for four days covering a wide range of topics:

 

DAY 1: Introduction and Resource Generation Theory of Mesoeconomics

 

DAY 2: Regional governments’ dual attributes and competitions

 

DAY 3: The leading role of government in and four stages of economic growth

 

DAY 4: The dual subject theory of market competition and types of efficient market and government for mature market economy

 

DAY 5: Consensus of government economic behavior
