Starting in 2005, I was enrolled in CHEMBA program and spent 2 unforgettable years learning from the most brilliant minds of the US and China. As I entered this Executive MBA program, I have already had 9 years of Marketing and management experience under my belt, but I was still hungry for academic advancement and self-improvement. I found the CHEMBA program has exactly what I was looking for.
CHEMBA brings the accumulated academic wealth of a Western business school program into an elite Chinese business school setting where most students are still working full-time. Admitted, CHEMBA graduates would have wanted more time spent in the beautiful campus of Twin Cities, but it could be far more rewarding financially and academically than a full-time MBA program. Compared to above 100 thousand dollars of total cost for a US-based full-time program, CHEMBA costed me only a fraction of that, and it allowed me to resume my professional and familiar lives without too many interruptions. I may have unwittingly resolved to my financial analysis mindset in this respect, but this was done way before I switched my career from Marketing to Finance, and whenever I look back at this experience, I always feel lucky that I was able to have CHEMBA program at that time.
CHEMBA program gave me a broad view of the business and management disciplines, and eventually helped me with finding my true strength and career interest. As a Marketing Manager at a multi-national company, I was exposed to many fields of study of the MBA program in my work. However, CHEMBA program approach is much more systematic and brought me in front of many subjects that I had not been exposed to, such as Financial Accounting, Statistics & Decision-Making. Information and Technology Management, etc. I found it very beneficiary to my career development at that time, and it also helped me decide to pursuit a Finance and Investment Management career many years later.
In 2007 I graduated from CHEMBA program with GPA of 3.85 and Dean’s Award for academic achievement. Many years later, I can hardly recall much, if any, of the technical skills I learned in the program, but I have no doubt that what I got during the CHEMBA program has changed my life profoundly. One example was the enduring friendship and comradery amongst our classmates. Several classmates of mine and myself together launched a new business venture many years later in the US. We could not have done this without the trust and close-knit personal relationship formed in our CHEMBA years.

2005年，我加入了CHEMBA，和中美两国最杰出的精英一起度过了难忘的两年。在此之前，我有着9年的市场营销和管理经历，但我仍然希望提高学术水平，超越自我。而CHEMBA正是我所渴望的。
CHEMBA将西方商学院积累的学术财富带给了中国精英商学院的学生们。他们大多有着自己的全职工作。诚然，CHEMBA的学生也许希望能够有更多的时间在美丽的双子城校园学习，但这可能是一个比参加全日制MBA项目更能从经济和学术上获得回报的选择。与其他美国的全日制项目相比，在CHEMBA就读的花销仅是其他项目的一小部分，而且在CHEMBA 就读不会过多影响我原本的工作和生活。每当我回顾这段经历时，我总是觉得能加入这个项目是很幸运的事。
CHEMBA项目拓宽了我的商业和管理视野，并且帮助我最终找到了我的优势和职业兴趣所在。作为跨国公司的市场营销经理，我在工作中能接触到MBA各种领域的研究。然而，CHEMBA采取了更加系统化的方式，使我接触到了许多我从未了解的科目，例如财务会计、统计与决策、信息和技术管理等。这些都对我的职业提升有所助益，并且启发我在多年后做出转型投资管理和金融分析的职业生涯转变。

2007年，我以3.85的GPA和院长学术成就奖的荣誉为我的CHEMBA经历画上句号。多年以后，我已经想不起来太多当时学习的知识技能，但毫无疑问，我在CHEMBA得到的东西给我的人生带来了深刻的改变，其中一个例子就是在CHEMBA建立起的长久友谊和同学情谊。多年以后，我和几个同学一起在美国成立了一个新企业。没有在CHEMBA建立起的信任和紧密关系，我们就无法做成这件事。
