​2023CHEMBA项目开学典礼致辞 — 中山大学岭南学院院长李善民教授

尊敬的Jamie Prenkert教授，各位老师、各位同学，

大家下午好！今天，我们在这里举行2023年CHEMBA项目开学典礼。我谨代表中山大学岭南学院对各位嘉宾、老师、同学、校友表示热烈欢迎！

今年是我们CHEMBA项目的第24年，从1999年获得教育部批复，到2001年第一批学员入学，CHEMBA项目从无到有，到今天我们有众多行业精英校友遍布全球，一路走来有很多故事，我们相信未来的路定然会越走越宽广，CHEMBA项目，更入佳境。

今天是开学典礼，在座的同学、校友们作为岭南学院和卡尔森共同培养的精英，在此，我给大家分享三件人生最需要坚持的事：

第一、要坚持学习，不断进步。当今社会是一个学习型的社会，人不学习就要落后，尽管我们在座的都已在各自耕耘的领域取得令人瞩目的成就，请依旧保持终身学习的态度。当然学习不局限向书本学，不局限坐在课堂里学，但是一年有几次坐下来听一听讲座，看几书，多多地思考一些问题，在实践中学习，这都是非常重要的。为此，我希望大家要给自己设立一些学习的目标，保持永远积极向上的心态。

第二、要坚持运动，保持健康。分享一个高赞的问答：“你在哪一个瞬间，觉得运动最有用？”“当电梯停电只能爬楼梯的时候；当你不用为哪一餐吃多了会发胖而烦恼的时候；当你很坦然，而不是害怕去拿体检报告的时候。”这个问答很形象，很深刻，所以，请大家坚持运动，保持健康。

第三、要坚持合作，互联互通。习近平总书记在“一带一路”国际合作高峰论坛的讲话中指出，“只有合作共赢才能办成事、办好事、办大事。”岭南学院将继续深化与明尼苏达大学卡尔森管理学院的合作共赢，同学们更要相互学习，博采众长，共同成长。希望大家走出自我，以更加开放的态度与我们的老师、同学们进行交流，在未来的学习生涯中开启你们人生事业的新篇章！

Good afternoon! Today, we are here to hold the 2023 CHEMBA Opening Ceremony. On behalf of Lingnan College of Sun Yat-sen University, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all the distinguished guests, teachers, students and alumni!

This year is the 24th year of our CHEMBA program. From the approval of the Ministry of Education in 1999 to the enrollment of the first batch of students in 2001, the CHEMBA program has grown out of nothing. Today, we have many elite alumni in the industry all over the world. There are many stories along the way. We believe that the future road will be wider, and the CHEMBA program will be better.

Today is the opening ceremony. As the elites jointly trained by Lingnan College and Carlson School, the students and alumni present here share with you three things that need to be adhered to most in life:

First, we should persist in learning and make continuous progress. Nowadays is a learning society. If people do not learn, they would lag behind. Although all of us here have made remarkable achievements in our respective fields, please still maintain the attitude of lifelong learning. Of course, learning is not limited to learning from books, not limited to sitting in the classroom, but it is very important to participate several times a year to listen to lectures, read a few books, think more about how to solve some problems, and learn in practice. To this end, I hope you will set some learning goals for yourself and keep a positive attitude forever.

Second, keep exercising and keep healthy life. Share a highly praised Q&A: "In which moment do you find exercise the most useful?" "When the elevator loses power and you have to climb the stairs, when you don't have to worry about which meal will make you fat, when you are calm and not afraid to get the medical report." This question and answer is very vivid and profound, so please keep exercising and stay healthy.

Third, we must adhere to cooperation and interconnection. General Secretary pointed out in his speech at the "The Belt and Road Initiative" International Cooperation Forum that "only win-win cooperation can accomplish things, do good things and do great things." Lingnan College will continue to deepen the win-win cooperation with the Carlson School of Management of the University of Minnesota, and students should learn from each other and grow together. I hope you can go out of yourself and communicate with our teachers and classmates with a more open attitude, to open a new chapter of your life and career in your future learning career!
