7月24-25日,CHEMBA小伙伴们开启了期待已久的线下课程,回归到中大校园课室里进行CHMB5813 Ethics and Leadership的第二周课程。

 

因为疫情,去年大半年时间的课程只能线上开展。即使年底情况稍有好转,线下课逐渐恢复,但今年五月广州疫情反弹,线下课又只好暂停。 

相比线上课,线下课堂氛围更加活跃,同学与同学之间、同学与老师之间交流更加便捷与高效。不少同学因为更喜欢线下课,特地将线上课攒到今年再上。

 

疫情后的第一节线下课,是浙江大学管理学院莫申江老师带来的Ethics and Leadership,莫老师上课安排有条不紊,内容丰富,上课形式多样。莫老师在课前给了每个人红、绿两张卡片,让大家在上课过程中用不同的颜色来表明自己的立场。相比单纯的举手表态,高饱和度的颜色让大家态度更加鲜明,并能更好地激发大家的表达欲望。

 

除了色卡表态,莫老师还组织了一场商业剧本杀,通过给每个小组安排企业的利益相关者角色,让各个角色自发进行沟通、协商与博弈,最终各方投票选出得以继续发展的企业。这门课注重观点的碰撞,莫老师十分鼓励大家提出质疑,并表达自己的观点。

 

在对经典案例进行探讨的基础上,大家还自发引出了不少热点问题的讨论,分享了各自领域成熟且前沿的观点以及实践过程中的经验,为解决问题提供了很多不同专业的视角。两天,16小时,虽然强度很高,身体偶有疲惫,但是大家参与的积极性不减。

 

课程结束后,班级代表为老师献上了精美的小礼物,感恩老师周末两天的辛苦授课。

Ethics and Leadership 课程介绍

Course Discription

Part II

Business ethics and social responsibility are becoming popular topics all over the world. They are especially important for the sustainable development of business schools and students. In the 2nd part of the ethics and leadership course, we will mainly discuss two key topics: 1) ethical decision making and 2) corporate social responsibility. Based on the theories and principles lectured in the 1st part of the course, we will move on to discuss critical questions such as 1) how to make ethical decisions for the organizations, especially in some ethical dilemmas, and 1) how to develop your business in a socially responsible and sustainable approach. Through multiple cases and exercises, we expect you will constantly reflect on yourselves and eventually find ways to become ethical leaders in your organizations.

Instructor

Shenjiang Mo is an Associate professor in School of Management, Zhejiang University. He was an Assistant professor in Lingnan (University) College, Sun Yat-sen University. Shenjiang Mo is specialized in research fields, such as organizational behavior, leadership, corporate social responsibility, etc. He is on the editoral review board of the Journal of Organizational Behavior, as well as the editoral board of Australian Journal of Management. He has published around 30 articles in international and Chinese journals, such as Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Journal of Business Ethics, Applied Psychology: An International Review, Journal of Management and Organization, Management World (in Chinese), Acta Psychologica Sinica (in Chinese), etc.
