2021 China International Risk Forum

Special Issue of the Pacific-Basin Finance Journal

Theme: FinTech and Financial Markets

 

July 23-24, 2021

 

Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, School of Finance and Modern Risk Society will jointly host the seventh annual China International Risk Forum (CIRF2021) on July 23-24, 2021 in Chengdu, China. This conference will be a hybrid one with both on-site and online sessions. We sincerely welcome you to join us in Chengdu, known as the land of abundance. In case you could not come in person due to the COVID travel restrictions, please join the conference online. The purpose of the forum is to promote research broadly related to financial risk management in the Asia-Pacific region and around the world. As in the previous conferences, the Pacific-Basin Finance Journal dedicates a special issue to papers to be presented at the forum. The special issue has a theme of FinTech and Financial MarketsPotential research topics include but are not limited to the following:

 

l  FinTech and financial markets

l  Digital Economics and Digital Finance

l  Catastrophic risk and rare disaster (e.g., COVID)

l  Credit risk and operational risk

l  Capital market anomalies

l  Leverage and systemic risk measurement

l  Interest risk, market risk, and liquidity risk

l  Household finance and personal risk management

l  Ambiguity and ambiguity aversion

l  Behavioral perspectives of risk management

l  Cyber risk and enterprise risk management

l  Big data and predictive modeling in risk management

l  Corporate governance and risk management

l  Pension risk, health risk and insurance related topics

 

Chinese submissions are welcome and there will be Chinese sessions. Papers accepted to the Chinese sessions will be recommended to “数量经济技术经济研究” (Journal of Quantitative & Technical Economics, http://www.jqte.net/sljjjsjjyj/ch/index.aspx). The standard review process of the journal will be followed.

Conference Submission: Both completed papers and early drafts with innovative ideas are encouraged. Please submit a pdf file without author information via the link https://www.cirforum.org prior to April 18, 2021There is no submission fee.

 

Submission to PBFJ: The submission to PBFJ special issue is separate from the conference submission and the submission portal will become available on Aug 29, 2021 (tentative). Submission details will be provided shortly after the conference. The Pacific-Basin Finance Journal is a high-quality journal specialized at the publication of academic research on capital markets of the Asia-Pacific countries. Its 5-Year Impact Factor is 2.775. Conference Registration

The registration fee for the conference is USD100. The registration fee is waivered for session chairs and discussants who do not have a paper in the program. The conference is also free to students. Presenting authors should register for the conference before July 10, 2021.
