The Joint Optimization Conferences 2017 (JOC 2017)

The Joint Optimization Conferences 2017 (JOC 2017)

4 December – 9 December, 2017, Perth, Australia

The Joint Optimization Conferences (JOC 2017) will be held in the beautiful city of Perth, West Australia from 4th December to 9th December 2017. The confederation consists of the following three  consecutive conferences. The Eighth Australia-China Workshop on Optimization: Theory, Methods and Applications (ACWO 2017), being jointly organised by Chongqing Normal University, China and Curtin University, Australia, will be held on 4th December 2017. The Second Pacific Optimization Conference (POC 2017) will be held at the same venue from 5th December 2017 to 7th December 2017. Following POC 2017, the South Pacific Optimization Meeting in Western Australia 2017 (SPOW in WA 2017) will take place immediately after POC 2017, which will be held during 8-9 December 2017.

The First Pacific Optimization Conference (POC2014) was organised by Jiangnan University and Curtin University in Wuxi, China during 31 October – 2 November, 2014. The Pacific Optimization Conference series is a continuation of the highly successful Sino-Japanese Optimization Meeting (SJOM) conference series. The first five SJOM conferences were held in Hong Kong (2000), Kyoto (2002), Singapore (2005), Tainan (2008) and Beijing (2011). At the last SJOM held in Beijing, China in October 2011, the SJOM Steering Committee decided to change the title of the SJOM conference series to Pacific Optimization Conference to reflect the wide geographical distribution of the participants of these conferences.

POC2017 aims to provide a forum for scientists, researchers, software developers, and practitioners to exchange ideas and approaches, to present research findings and state-of-the-art solutions, to share experiences on potentials and limits, and to open new avenues of research and developments on all issues and topics related to optimization and optimal control as well as their applications. The attendees s could revise and expanse their presentations to full papers, and then submit them to appropriate special issues of several SCI journals to be considered for possible publication.   All submitted papers will be subject to the same rigorous reviewing process as if they are submitted to these journals as regular papers.
